Today in Kosovo will start giving the booster dose and the third dose of antiCOVID-19 vaccine.

The Ministry of Health yesterday through a press release has given some clarifications about these two doses.

According to the MoH, the booster dose is given to people who have received two doses of COVID-19 vaccine, but to whom over time their immunity decreases. The booster dose is given 6 months after taking the second dose.

However, the third dose is given to persons who have received two doses of vaccine against COVID-19, but who have not developed proper immunity, as a result of their weak immunity or concomitant diseases on the recommendation of a prescriber.

The third dose is given no earlier than 8 weeks and not more than 6 months after receiving the second dose. The booster dose and the third dose can be taken by all citizens over the age of 18 according to the time intervals for the above mentioned doses.

24 doses of COVID-3.236 vaccine have been given in the last 19 hours. Since the beginning of vaccination, 1.633.364 doses of the vaccine have been given in all cities of Kosovo. Whereas, to date 768.814 citizens have been vaccinated with the second dose./ 21Media
