The Kosovo Rugby Federation gathered rugby players from all national teams in the Kosovo national training camp.
This preparatory camp comes as a result of Kosovo's admission to the international arena and competition for the first time in history.
In optimal conditions for training, the team stayed in Istog for 3 days where they conducted the exercises at the Stadium "Demush Mavraj" which was offered by the Municipality of Istog.
In addition to 20 local players, this camp was attended by 2 other players who play abroad, respectively in France and Switzerland.
In this 3-day camp, the focus of coaches and players was on the physical, strategic, tactical and substantive preparation of the games in the next month within Conference 2.
"This training camp has given us the opportunity to strengthen the cohesion and ethics of the team both inside and outside the field. "The improvement of the players has been great to see and I am very proud of their efforts and dedication in wanting to represent their country in the best way within their capabilities," said coach Mark Barrett.
The Rugby Europe 2s Conference 7 tournament will be held in Malta, at the Hibernians Stadium on June 11 and 12, where Kosovo will face five other countries on the journey to climb the ladder of Rugby Europe.
Kosovo will face Malta, Slovenia, Slovakia, San Marino and Estonia as they seek promotion at Conference 1 of Rugby Europe - the third level of European rugby. Each of the teams will play against each other, before moving on to a play-off structure which will determine which country will reach the promotion./ 21Media
