The hand has also been killed, Texas Gov. Greg Abbott has announced.

In addition to the 15 confirmed deaths, police said there were an unspecified number of injured.

"We are now receiving more information about those injuries - they include a 66-year-old woman and a 10-year-old girl who are in critical condition at San Antonio University Hospital."

The person who caused this attack is Salvador Ramos, an 18-year-old from Uvalde, rtv21.tv reports.

"It is believed that he abandoned his vehicle and entered Robb Elementary School in Uvalde with a pistol and may also have had a rifle, but this has not yet been confirmed according to my most recent report," Abbott said.21Media
