Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti is said to have approved the idea of the club starting work on signing Raheem Sterling, with "Los Blancos" planning to make an effort to bring the Manchester City striker to the "Santiago Bernabeu".
The 27-year-old was again an important player for the "Citizens" during the 2021-22 season, making 47 appearances in all competitions, contributing 17 goals and nine assists in this process.
Sterling's contract at the Etihad Stadium will expire next June, however, there has recently been speculation about his future in Manchester.
Chelsea are suspected of having already failed with an offer of 30 million euros plus extras for the English representative, with Man Cityn being thought to want more than 55 million euros for the striker this summer.
Barcelona and Milan are the other two teams that have interest in the player, while recent reports have linked Real Madrid with the former Queens Park Rangers star.
