The Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti today opened the 23rd edition of the international boxing tournament "Adem Jashari", at the Palace of Youth and Sports, in Pristina. On this occasion, Kurti says that like other martial arts, the sport of boxing reflects the tradition in the field of sports, but also the history of success, resistance and war of our country.

This sports tournament, which undoubtedly represents the success of local sports, according to the Prime Minister, shows much more for our country and people. His appointment, "Adem Jashari", marks the sacrifice and sacrifice of the Jashari Family which today is symbolic of the Independence of our people, said the Prime Minister, adding that the first organization of this tournament dates back to 1999 and is continuing the tradition of holding in the same place, in Prishtina.

And third, as Prime Minister Kurti said, this event represents the work and effort of athletes, coaches and sports workers who without stopping, intergenerational generations have developed the sport of boxing in the country, thus continuing the success of Albanian champions of the period of the former Yugoslavia.

The Prime Minister welcomed all the countries participating in this event, while he wished the athletes success in today's finals, in the boxing ring ", it was announced in the communiqué of the Office of the Prime Minister.
