Attack in Sweden, two injured

Two people were injured in a knife attack on Tuesday in a shopping mall in the Swedish city of Vesteras.

Police say they have detained a person on the spot after the attack.

Officers said in a statement that a sharp object was used, but did not provide further details, rtv21.tv reports.

The Swedish daily Aftonbladet, citing unidentified sources, reported that the victims were stabbed.

Police said the attack took place in the central part of Vasteras, a town about 90 kilometers west of Stockholm.

There have been a number of knife attacks in Sweden recently, particularly a number of school incidents.21Media
