The Mayor of Podujeva, Shpejtim Bulliqi said that the pressure that is being put on the Kurti Government to hold a referendum in Serbia on the territory of Kosovo is unacceptable.

Bulliqi further said that international practices and laws of Kosovo clearly define the issue of citizen participation in the referendum of a foreign state.

"No one is being deprived of the right to vote, Serb citizens in Kosovo with dual citizenship have two voting opportunities: through the post office and the Serbian Liaison Office in Kosovo. "Holding the referendum of Serbia within the territory of our country aims to challenge and undermine the democracy and sovereignty of the state of Kosovo." Bulliqi wrote on Facebook.

The Assembly of Kosovo tonight has approved the request of Prime Minister Albin Kurti, that tomorrow from 14:00 an extraordinary session be held. The Assembly has announced that the session will have only one item on the agenda: Discussion regarding Serbia's intentions to hold a constitutional referendum in the territory of the Republic of Kosovo.21Media
