The Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, has said that Serbia is not interested in an agreement and that Kosovo's progress is hindering it. Kurti made these comments after failing to reach a final agreement on the issue of license plates on Friday in Brussels.
"I did not follow closely the last process of talks on license plates, but I believe that mediator Lajçak will explain which side was not constructive. I have no dilemmas for myself. "I know that our chief negotiator, Besnik Bislimi, has been both constructive and creative, but clearly Belgrade is not interested in having an agreement," the prime minister told public television.
"Meanwhile, we never want to question the principle of reciprocity. It's up to the mediator to explain why the agreement was not reached, which was quite close and for which Lajçak is very committed ", added Kurti, who is visiting the United States.
The Prime Minister stressed that Serbia has already increased its aggression towards Kosovo, because according to him, it is hindering Kosovo's progress.
We recall that after today's meetings between the chief negotiators of Kosovo and Serbia in Brussels, no agreement was reached on license plates.21Media
