Today, the Speaker of the Assembly of Kosovo, Glauk Konjufca received the President of Albania, Ilir Meta.
During the meeting, they discussed the intensification of cooperation between our two countries, developments in the region and the integration process towards the European Union.
The Speaker of the Assembly thanked President Meta for the great contribution of the Albanian state for the freedom and independence of Kosovo, as well as the continuous support in its reconstruction processes.
On this occasion, Konjufca reiterated the position that the state of Kosovo is open to regional cooperation, but only on the basis of equality, reciprocity and EU involvement.
For the Republic of Kosovo, the initiatives of Serbia, such as the so-called "Open Balkans", which aim to bypass the Berlin Process for the Western Balkans and the EU, are unacceptable. "The future of our country and the region is in the European Union and NATO," said the President of the Assembly ", said Konjufca.
President Meta confirmed the commitment that Albania has been and will always be in support of Kosovo.
