An institute in the US has said that Ukraine has forced Russian forces to withdraw from Kharkiv, thus winning the battle for the city.

A spokesman for Ukraine's General Staff was quoted as saying that the main enemy efforts in the region were focused on securing the withdrawal of units from the city of Kharkiv.

Moscow is still reportedly bombing nearby areas, including Dergachi, about 10 km north of Kharkiv.

The capture of Kharkiv was a major Russian target and the city was heavily shelled during the occupation, leading to the death of hundreds of civilians. In his last video speech, President Volodymyr Zelensky said that Ukrainian forces are doing everything possible to liberate the country.21Media
